Summer is finally here! If you’re looking for a way to relax in the sun look no further than the plenty of free yoga classes that are offered throughout New York. We’ve got a list of the best free yoga classes in New York, from Bryant Park, Battery Park, to the Seaport and everything in between. Namaste.



1: Classes at Bryant Park (Every Tuesday and Thursday)



Curated by Yoga Journal and presented by Manduka, the Tuesday and Thursday classes run all through May to September. So no more excuses! Grab your mat and head outdoors for a stress-relieving session.

Every Tuesday 10am, Thursday 6pm



2: Laughter Yoga (Every Wednesday)



If you’ve done yoga in a sauna, yoga outdoors, yoga upside down, you can try yoga while you laugh. Especially when it’s free. Utilizing the basic practices of controlled breathing and meditation, Laughter Yoga aims to use the hormones released when laughing to further elevate your yoga experience. Try a class every Wednesday at the Better Health Chiropractic.

3: Sunset Yoga (Wednesday May 24th)



This evening class invites all levels and is family friendly. Situated a little more North in Cunningham park in Queens, sunset yoga promises a de-stressing session with an unbeatable view. BYOM.

4: Yoga in a Wework (Thursday May 25th)



These classes take place in a spacious work out studio situated in beautiful Chelsea. Take a step in before a day in the financial district and find yourself in the middle of calm, acceptance, and full body and mind realignment.

5: Afterwork Yoga at Battery Park (Wednesday May 31st)



Taking place in the sunny and airy Woodland Lawn, Tejal Yoga hosts a rejuvenating yoga class for all levels. Check out other available dates on their eventbrite page.

6: Vinyasa Yoga at Spry (Wednesday June 7)



Try a vinyasa based work out at Spry in New York. They’ve defined their class as weaving movements together like a dance. Fully incorporating Vinyasa techniques, the class is open to all levels. Book a class through their website.

7: Seaport Fit Yoga (Tuesday June 27)



If you’re not into yoga in the park, check out yoga on the cobblestones of the seaport. Taking place on the Fulton Street Promenade, this free yoga session comes with warm ground and fresh sea air.
